To me being a designer is like playing football for a living and I take great pleasure in saying; I love what I do. I am fortunate to have chosen a career that allows me to do something which I always regarded as a hobby.
While we live in uncertain times and opportunities are scarce, I remain optimistic and treat every day like a job. I organise and plan each day and stick to a list of set goals, I take fixed breaks like a regular job and get out and about when I can. When the day is complete, I look to the next day, write a new list and start again. This keeps me motivated and focused in what I do, but most importantly productive.
Creative media moves at a fast pace so it's no cliché when I say; I learn something new every day. I realised early on in my development that anything is possible, you just need to dream big enough. I think Peter Pan said that, good advice all the same.
My story began back in 2006 when I was accepted into Colaiste Dhulaigh. After two years I completed a Diploma course and also received the Student of the Year award. I subsequently attended the University of Wolverhampton and in 2009 completed my BA Hon's Degree in Interactive Media. Upon returning to Ireland I successfully applied for the Dublin Institute of Technology to sit a Masters Degree in Creative Digital Media. I have since graduated from DIT and I am now in the process of looking for employment in, a Web or graphic design agencies.

To me there is no such thing as a bad brief; so always create something I can be happy with and put my name to.
I feel that every brief has the potential to be something brilliant but it is the responsibility of the designer to make it great.
So my philosophy is to always produce great material regardless of size or budget, because as the saying goes "you're only as good as your last job".
My ambition is to manage and run my own design agency. To help me achieve this aim, I am currently developing my skill set and continue to site courses.
By working and engaging with like minded individuals and interesting projects, I can keep up to date with industry standards.
Since completing my postgraduate studies. I am now eager to find new challenges and hope to obtain an Internship for either a graphic design or Web design agency.
